Designed by EL’LE ARCHITECTS and realized by Beng Architectes Associés, this project continues the spirit of the emblematic Rockhal music complex. The goal: to preserve the site’s raw and authentic identity while infusing it with a new, contemporary, and vibrant energy.

Architecture in Resonance with the Steelmaking Heritage

Raw materials—steel and concrete—were chosen to maintain a strong link with the industrial memory of the region.

Light and Atmosphere: A Scenic Play

Lighting plays a central role in the project. A backlit bar ceiling creates an immersive, theatrical effect, echoing the light shows of music stages. At the back, a sculpted, luminous bar subtly defines the space while structuring the convivial areas. Each light source was designed to interact with the materials, revealing their textures and accompanying the rhythms of the venue.

Spaces Reimagined for Experience

The transformation of the restrooms brings an unexpected, playful touch: a psychedelic, vibrant, and colorful universe that contrasts with the industrial sobriety of the rest of the café.
At the entrance, a new cloakroom and reception desk redefine the visitor experience from the moment of arrival, offering comfort, fluidity, and an immediate sense of atmosphere.
