Project:

Nestled in the heart of a natural environment, this detached villa embodies a contemporary and responsible vision of French art de vivre, finely blending the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi with the values of sustainability, conviviality and savoir-faire.

Conceived as a manifesto of eco-responsible creativity, the house fully responds to the customer’s request for the exclusive use of ecological materials, sourced locally and from sustainable channels. Every choice of construction reflects a desire to respect the environment, but also to embrace traditional craftsmanship backed up by tailor-made design..

The concept of wabi-sabi, the common thread running through the project, is expressed in the sober architecture, clean lines and authentic materials with the patina of time. Far from ostentation, the villa cultivates the elegance of imperfection, the charm of use, and the beauty of the handmade gesture. In this, it echoes French craftsmanship, with its lively textures and organic forms. It’s a place of calm and humility, where simplicity becomes a luxury, and every detail invites contemplation.

In a culturally resonant approach, the project also incorporates an emblematic element of French conviviality: a pétanque court. More than a wink, this outdoor space celebrates French joie de vivre, exchange, slowness and the pleasure of shared moments – values common to the philosophies of wabi-sabi and French design.

In this way, the project embodies a vision of the home that honors contemporary creation as well as the memory of know-how, to offer a home that breathes the essentials: beautiful, simple, local and sustainable.
